The artistic, white, marble sculptures
of Carrara

Fratelli Poletti e Ghio is a company who specialise in the sculpting of marble. At our workshop in Carrara, Via Provinciale Avenza Carrara 111, we employ artisans specialised in the fabrication of artistic sculptures, particularly funeral and religious ones. The white marble works of the Carrara company are exhibited in famous buildings around Italy and the rest of the world. Some of the most famous works sculpted by the Poletti and Ghio Brothers can be found below.

Sculpture portraying the Madonna of Lourdes.

Sculpture depicting the Madonna of Lourdes, height: 200 cm, made from the white marble of Carrera.  It is intended for the Sanctuary of Nevegal (Belluno), commissioned by the Bishop of Belluno, and blessed by Pope John Paul II on August 30, 1992, during a formal ceremony.

Reproduction of Michelangelo's Moses and Pietà

Reproductions of Michelangelo's Moses and Pietà, made from the white marble of Carrara and kept in its original size. The first one was made for an Italian-American restaurant in Montreal (Canada), and the second for a cemetery in the United States.

A sarcophagus for King Assan's brother in Morocco

A sarcophagus for King Assan's brother, made from the white marble of Carrara, and various profiled materials, separated by a band with an Arabic inscription. Intended for the Palace of Congress in Rabat (Morocco). 70 columns and the same amount of capitals were made in the Arabic style, with the white marble of Carrara.

Two sculpted busts of the king and queen of Sweden

Two sculpted busts of King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden and Queen Silvia of Sweden, made from Statuary marble. On display at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

Carrera White Marble sculpture depicting Pope Wojtyla with a height of 220 cm.  Intended for the Piazza di Cassano in Cassano Magnago, in the province of Varese.
